Candy Cane Cookies

Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Red & green food coloring

Instructions

In a mixing bowl cut the butter into the flour as for a piecrust. Mix in all remaining ingredients except the food coloring. Divide into 2 parts. Color half with red food coloring and the other half with green food coloring. Form into balls. Roll into strip and twist together one of each color in the shape of a candy cane. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 minutes in preheated 350 oven.
