My mouth was watering as I read through this recipe. One of my favorite dishes to try out in a new Italian restaurant is sausage and peppers. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's really hit and miss. This recipe is definitely one I'll be adding to the rotation. Any suggestions for a good whole-wheat penne pasta? What brands do you recommend? I'm still partial to regular and spinach pasta.

Who doesn't love a good sausage and peppers hero. Well here is your chance to take all those great flavors, combine them with pasta for a delicious hardy Italian feast. This is such a simple recipe and the end result is a quick and easy weeknight meal that your family will love. My only change to the recipe was that I used regular pasta instead of whole wheat. (Just a personal preference)

I don't really cook with wine. I have a substitutions book that says you can use chicken broth or in smaller amount water. I find Itlaian sausage link to slice better when cooked all through as opposed to partially as specified in the recipe. It looks good, but it isn't really a beginner's meal. You have to know what deglazing is and how to deglaze.
