Mexican Dessert Tortillas with Ice Cream
Ingredients
- butter
- flour tortillas
- honey
- ice cream
- cinnamon
Instructions
Melt butter in a skillet over low or medium low heat. When skillet is hot, place a flour tortilla on the butter. Using a fork or a spatula, move the tortilla about the skillet to prevent sticking Be careful to not tear it if using a fork. Flip occasionally for even cooking on both sides. The tortilla is done when air pockets start to puff upwards and the surface is browning, but not browned. Place the tortilla on a plate. Drizzle with honey, top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and cinnamon.

When you're working with flour tortillas that you have to roll, it's best to let them set out to get to room temperature. When they're cold, they tear and don't stretch. Even if you're not rolling them, they will separate from each other easier at room temperature. Cold, they stick together and pull layers off.
