Anchovies and Garlic Sauce
Traditionally, this dish is served on Christmas Eve or Good Friday. The oil from the anchovies brings in a great flavor when it marries with the garlic and the pasta. Yum!
Ingredients
- 2 garlic cloves
- Oil
- 1 can anchovies (10 oz)
- Salt
- pepper
- Cooked spaghetti
Instructions
- Saute the whole garlic in the oil then remove it as soon as it gets golden in color,
- Add the anchovies and a couple of spoonful of the water you used to cook spaghetti.
- Let them melt (it takes only a few minutes).
- Add salt and pepper to taste.

Hello Martha, This is what the recipe calls for. If you can't find a 10 oz can then I guess you would have to use 5 smaller cans. This recipe was originally reader submitted, but appears to be the correct amounts. Thanks for the feedback.

Is the receipe accurate when it calls for a 10oz.can of anchovies? I can only find anchovies in 2oz.cans. So for 10ozs. I would have to use 5 cans . Is that correct?????????/
