Italian Baked Spaghetti
If you like Italian food, then you're going to love this easy Italian baked spaghetti recipe. The addition of the melted cheddar cheese will make it just melt in your mouth.

Ingredients
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4 tablespoons cooking oil
- 15 ounces tomato sauce
- 16 ounces tomatoes, chopped
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 9 ounces cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Boil spaghetti for 15 minutes in salted water, drain.
- While it is boiling, make tomato gravy by frying onion in oil, adding tomatoes and sauce, then salt and pepper. Cook 20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cut up cheese, 1/3 of the package in small pieces and 2/3 of the package in strips.
- Grease large glass baking dish with margarine.
- Place 1/2 spaghetti in dish.
- Add small pieces cheese, half the gravy and then sprinkle bread crumbs on top.
- Add remaining spaghetti, cheese pieces and gravy.
- Top with cheese strips and breadcrumbs.
- Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.

This looks interesting. I like the idea of layering breadcrumbs, it would give it a different texture and taste than the usual plain speghetti.
