    Spicy Sesame Pasta Hot or Cold

    This fantastic spicy sesame pasta-hot or cold comes to us straight from our friends at Al Dente Pasta. If you're looking for some great Italian pasta recipes then this recipe may be for you. Try it out today with one of Al Dente's many choices of pasta.

    Ingredients

    • Dressing:
    • 1/3 cup peanut or vegetable oil
    • 3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
    • 3 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
    • 1 teaspoon sugar
    • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
    • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
    • Pasta:
    • 12 ounces Al Dente Spicy Sesame or Egg Linguine Pasta
    • 1 head of broccoli, cut into florettes (you could also substitue carrots or peapods)
    • 2 red peppers, sliced thin
    • 4 green onions, chopped
    • 1 cup sliced almonds, toasted or chopped peanuts
    • 1 pound cooked shrimp or shredded chicken, if desired

    Instructions

    1. Mix the first 6 ingredients to make dressing.
       
    2. Bring large pot of salted water to a boil.  Stir in pasta.
       
    3. Add broccoli.
       
    4. Cook until pasta is tender but firm, about 3 minutes.
       
    5. Drain pasta and broccoli.  Toss with dressing, peppers, green onion and almonds. (add shrimp or chicken if using).
       
    6. Serve hot or at room temperature.
