    Ring ding Filling/frosting

    Ingredients

    • 1/4 cup margarine
    • 1/4 cup shortening
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 2 teaspoons flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Instructions

    In small saucepan, mix flour and milk, Stirring constantly until mixture just comes to a boil and thickens. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature. Beat margarine and shortening for 4 minutes with mixer. Add sugar and beat for 4 minutes. Add milk/flour mixture. Beat 4 more minutes. Add vanilla and beat an additional 4 minutes. Note: This recipe is time consuming, but well worth the effort. Very light and fluffy and not cloyingly sweet. It is important to beat for the full 4 minutes after each addition.
