This irresistible dessert is simply bursting with fall flavor. From its rich, spiced apple filling to its layers of flaky pastry crust, you will be crazy about every aspect of this recipe. We think it's simply genius that someone would transform a delicious ingredient like apple butter into an entire pie!

Serve this dessert warm or cold, but we do recommend topping with a generous dollop of fresh whipped cream. Curl up with a plate of this pie and a cup of hot coffee or tea, and you are all set to have a perfect autumn day.

1/2 cup apple butter
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups milk
1 refrigerated pie crust
Cool whip for garnish

Apple Butter Pie Recipe

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a medium size bowl beat eggs.
Add the sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and apple butter. Mix well.
Add milk.
Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust.
Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until the center is set.
Allow to cool completely before slicing.
Garnish with Cool Whip.

Oh my goodness yum and yes, please! It's so funny because every year I make tons of pumpkin pies for the holidays, yet am not a fan of them at all...so I tend to feel a little left out when people are devouring their pie. This is perfect for me and anyone else who prefers apple over pumpkin, and I just love apple butter. I'm so happy I found this recipe and very much looking forward to joining in on the pie festivities with my apple butter pie!
