Best Key Lime Pie
If you're like most Key Lime Pie connoisseurs, then you have some pretty strong opinions about what the "best" version actually tastes like. But this Best Key Lime Pie recipe comes quite close to perfection. It has the right balance of tang and sweetness mixed together in the creamy filling. This recipe also includes directions for a simple graham cracker crust and whipped cream topping. Top the whole pie with a bit of lime zest for a pretty presentation. This easy dessert recipe is a great treat on hot summer days!

Seriously, this does not look like it could be any easier!!! I guess I never realized Key Limes were an actual thing lol! I'm so glad the blog author pointed out that you can use regular limes. I can't wait to try this. I'm very excited to try out different summer pie recipes. I'd like to find a nice strawberry pie one too if anyone has a suggestion. Also, we have a high fructose allergy in our family which makes finding acceptable graham crackers an issue. Does anyone know of a brand that doesn't use high fructose corn syrup?

This is by far my favorite pie and I have always wanted to make one. We usually have one at our St. Pattys day festive dinner, you know, just to kind of keep the green theme going! Since I am hosting St. Pattys this year, I think I will add the homemade versions rather than the store bought frozen one!

I have always been intrigued as to what key lime pie is. We don't have that in South Africa. We tend to make lemon meringue pie. I love those. There is the tang of the lemon and the sweetness of the condensed milk. I see key lime pie is the same concept. I too make a biscuit crust the same way as this recipe. The only difference is I add in two egg yolks to my condensed milk mixture and top the pie with the remaining egg whites which I've added a bit of granulated sugar to, to make a meringue mixture. Then you bake it up in the oven for 20 minutes until the meringue sets. It makes a delicious alternative.
