    Chocolate Rum Pie

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups ground walnots
    • 3 Tbsp. sugar
    • 2 Tbsp. soft or melted butter
    • 1 small package semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • 1 egg
    • 1/2 teaspoon rum flavoring
    • 2 egg yolks/2 egg whites
    • 1/2 pint cream, whipped

    Instructions

    Mix together walnuts, sugar and butter and form ino crust in a pie plate. Bake at 450 degrees for 6-8 minutes. Melt chocolate chips, cool slightly. Add whole egg and 2 yolks. Beat well. Beat 2 egg whites stiff and add to mixture. Fold in whipped cream and rum flavoring. Pour into pie shell and refrigerate. Spread with a 1/2 pint of cream, whipped and finely chopped walnuts.
