Ingredients
- 4 cups sliced peaches (about 6 peaches)
- 1 cup sugar, divided
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 cup milk
- Vanilla Ice Cream
Instructions
- Combine peaches and 1/2 cup sugar; let stand 15 minutes or until a syrup forms.
- Melt butter at 350 degrees in an 11x7 baking dish.
- Stir together remaining 1/2 cup sugar, flour, baking powder and milk; pour mixture over melted butter. (DO NOT STIR.)
- Spoon peaches over mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes.
- Serve warm cobbler with vanilla ice cream.
Makes 6 - 8 servings.
