This sounds really good. I am a pecan pie lover since I was a little kid, and I am 78. I am also a diabetic so I have to be very careful of how much sweets I eat. I make pecan pie from a recipe that won a prize in the Pilsbury Bake Off sometime about the 70s. You mix a little sugar with cream cheese, and I think a few TBLSP milk( not sure about the milk) And spread that in the bottom of the crust. That makes sorh of a cheesecake lyer on the bottom and cuts the swwet a little. I use light corn syrup though, because it has a milder taste, and I have used pur maple syrup instead. THAT was really good.
