Ham and Cheese Calzone
"My friends and family know I try my hardest to make better choices about the food I eat and the food I feed them. Many years ago I earned the name, “Homemade Lady.” This title was awarded to me because I was making most of the food for friends and family from scratch. Even though I am not the same “Homemade Lady” I was 20 years ago, I still rely on nutritious and delicious ingredients in all of my recipes."

Ham and cheese are one of those perfect taste combinations and who does not love them! I have never made calzone before but was amazed at how well it turned out and how good it was to eat. Everyone in the family was most impressed and I will definitely be making them again and again.

I love calzone. We're lucky to have a very good Italian restaurant close by that makes an excellent (and huge!) calzone. Reading this recipe brings back memories of how good their calzones are, and makes me want to try my hand at making one at home. I think I'd add a bit of chopped onion and chopped green pepper to the ingredients, and I'd definitely include some marinara sauce on the side.
