Pizza Crust

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 T. olive oil
  • 4 1/2 cupn flour
  • 2 t. salt
  • 2 t. sugar
  • 2 t. yeast

Instructions

2 lb recipe (1 very deep dish 15" pizza). I substitute 2 cups starter for the water and yeast, and add the last cup of flour as needed while kneading (what with starter moisture variations and all). I usually have about half a cup of flour left over. Focaccio The above recipe makes 2 loaves; Pat dough into circle 1/2 inch thick. Place on baking sheet and sprinkle with cornmeal or flour. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with fresh or dried herbs (rosemary, oregano or basil), parmesan or romano cheese and black pepper. Let dough rise for 15 - 20 min. and cook in preheated 400 oven until golden brown.
