Chinese style Pork Ribs
Ingredients
- 3-4 racks pork ribs (baby backs, country-style, etc)
- 1/2 cup worchestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup lite soy sauce
- 1 to 1.5 cups dark brown sugar
- garlic powder
- 5-spice powder, optional
- red pepper, ground, optional
- Chopped orange rind and juice, optional
- black bean sauce, optional
Instructions
Cut ribs into individual pieces. Dust ribs with garlic powder and arrange in a roasting pan (do not crowd them). Sprinkle 5-spice powder and red pepper on ribs if desired. Drizzle the soy and worchestershire sauces over the ribs. Turn to coat. Crumble the brown sugar over the ribs until they are covered with the sugar turning to coat all sides. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1.5 hours until the sauce becomes thick and glazes the ribs. Serve with cooked rice and any vegetable you like. Serves 3-4 Note: If ribs are very fatty, you may have to drain the excess fat after 45 minutes of baking. Add more of the sauces and sugar if needed.
