Simple Chokecherry Syrup

- sugar
Instructions
Fill large canner aproximately 3/4 full with fresh, ripe and clean chokecherrys. Fill with water about 2-3 inches over top of berries. Bring to boil and simmer for 2 to 3 hours. Do not crush berries, you will get too much sediment. Strain juice through a stainless steel seive. Mix 1 part juice to 2 parts sugar. Bring to boil. Simmer until all sugar is dissolved. Let cool overnight in refrigerator. Enjoy with pancakes, waffles or over vanilla icecream.
