- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup corn flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup sour cream (can use non-fat)
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- In a bowl, combine flours, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine egg, sour cream, milk, and butter. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
- Pour into greased 8-inch square baking pan.
- Bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Serve warm.

if you use 1 c flour you need to use 1c corn meal in the recipe. corn flour is already has the corn,and flour mixed

Question: Is Corn Flour the sme as Corn Meal? Is it something like Masa Harina?

I've made this recipe many times over the years. Kids do love it - adults too. I use the no or low fat sour cream. It is hard to make a mistake with the recipe. It is so easy to make. And, it smells delicious while cooking.
