Walnut Filled Banana Bread
Walnut-Filled Banana Bread is an easy banana bread recipe perfect for walnut lovers. For those who prefer to leave the walnuts out, it's still a great banana bread recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening (half butter, half crisco)
- 3 ripened bananas
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Cream the first six ingredients in mixer.
- Add flour and baking soda to creamed mixture. (Nuts are also added if desired.)
- Pour dough in greased loaf tin.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 45-60 minutes. Yields one loaf.

Add 1 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp fresh nutmeg. Reduce fats by up to 1/2 by adding extra banana mash if you want for more healthy loaf.

I think that something is misssing from this recipe I hope it was eggs Perhaps it needs milk or eggs or sour cream Help
