I was looking for a new way to make baked beans, but this isn't it. This starts off with a can of baked beans. You add barbecue sauce and more brown sugar. I was wanting to start off with white beans and making a sauce for it. I will keep looking.

Baked Beans can go with so many things and these BBQ ones look really good and who would resit eating them at a barbaque or just for family meal. I love that these beans are baked in the oven because I believe the ingredients absorb better. I bet these are even good on hot dogs. Is the real ones at KFC made with can beans or do they start with fresh beans? Thanks for recipe it is just in time for the 4th of July. Anyone use the 3 1/2 cups of barbaque sauce?

The amount of bbq sauce should be 1/3 to 1/2 cup, depending on how tangy you like it. I used the 3 1/2 cups the recipe called for--AWFUL!!!

I, too, questioned the amount of barbeque sauce. I investigated a little and found the same recipe on another website with the exact ingredients except the amount of barbeque sauce is 1/3 to 1/2 cup.

There is NO way this is the correct ratio of beans to barbecue sauce.

Do you really use that much BBQ sauce for one 28 oz. can of beans? I would like to try this recipe, but I'm not sure about the amounts. Please reply. Thank you.

Hello Lesa, This was a reader submitted recipe and those are the accurate ingredient according to what was submitted. But you are free to tweak the recipe to be more suited to you, maybe start with half the sauce and more as you desire? Thanks for the feedback!
