Guava Salad
Ingredients
- 4 large half-ripe guavas, grated, without seeds
- 1/2 litre fresh yoghourt
- 100 gm table cheese, grated
- 2 tsps mustard paste
- 1 small fresh tender cucumber, sliced round
- 1large white or pink onion, sliced round
- 1 large ripe, salad tomato, sliced round
- 1 medium sized crisp lettuce, leaves separated, and washed
- 1 tsp ground sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
for 4- 6 servings. Tie yogurt in cloth and hang for about an hour to remove excess water. In a bowl, mix guava, cheese, yoghurt, mustard, pepper, salt and sugar and chill for about an hour. Arrange lettuce, onion and tomatoes in layers on a flat salad dish. Put the grated guava mix in the center.
