Habanero Cranberry Chutney
Ingredients
- 12 ounces cranberries
- 1 cup golden raisins
- 1 cup dried apricots, chopped
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 3/4 cup turbinado sugar
- 2 T minced ginger
- 1 habanero chile, stemmed and minced
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1 cup reeds ginger ale
- 2 T soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp curry powder
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 2 T orange rind
Instructions
Place all ingredients except for Orange rind in to heavy sauce pan. Heat over medium heat until cranberrys begin to pop. Stir constantly until popping ceases. Reduce heat to low and stir in orange rind. Allow to steep on low for ten minutes. Remove from heat and alow to cool before serving.
