Whole Cranberry Sauce
Why buy cranberry sauce in a can from the store when canning cranberry sauce is so easy? It doesn't take a lot of skill or a lot of time to make some delicious cranberry sauce, and like Mom always says, homemade is best!

Ingredients
- 6 3/4 cups sugar
- 6 cups water
- 3 pounds fresh cranberries
Instructions
- Combine sugar and water in an 8 to 10-quart kettle.
- Stir to dissolve sugar.
- Heat to boiling; boil 5 minutes.
- Add cranberries; cook about 5 minutes or until skins pop.
- Remove from heat.
- Pack hot cranberry sauce into hot jars, leaving 1/2-inch headspace; adjust lids.
- Process in boiling water bath 5 minutes (start timing as soon as water returns to a boil). Makes 6 pints.
