I love bread and butter pickles. I tried once to make them and they didn't turn out very well. This sounds real easy to make. The pickling cucumbers are pretty small, right? I'm asking because the time that I made them I used regular sized cucumbers. The vinegar that is used does not seem like enough to pour over the pickles. I will make it and see.

Pickling cucumbers are the smaller ones. That is correct. They are about 4 to 5 inches long while the slicing cucumber is about 8 to 10 inches. Pickling cucumbers have a thinner skin and a better crunch. I love bread and butter pickles too. Depending on how you pack the cucumbers. the amount of vinegar should work.
