Ooh French Onion Soup is one of my favorite soups. This recipe makes it so easy and quick to make this delicious appetizer. It is such a great recipe! This is one to keep in my back pocket to have with a ton of meals that need that extra something! The kids loved it as much as the adults. The flavor is amazing, and the smell that comes from the kitchen when making this soup will have everyone asking "Is it ready yet?"

I have made French onion soup before as I love it. It took me nearly the whole day and I have not made it since. I love how easy this recipe is. I would most definitely not leave out the worcestershire sauce as I believe it adds flavor to anything! I will definitely be making this soup soon.

My mom keeps saying she wants to make French onion soup since we always have so many onions in the house. But, we kept making excuses and said we didn't have enough time until this recipe came along! It is a huge timesaver and really gives you a different perspective about making a delicious, restaurant-style soup. With some homemade croutons, it'll be a perfect February dinner!

Had my Nieces over for lunch last week and this soup was the perfect dish for a winter's day. Loved being able to get the bulk of the preparation done ahead of time and just finish in the oven when ready to serve. I took the author's advice and made it along with a chicken Caesar salad. The girls and I had a great time catching up, enjoying some warming comfort food, and we did it all without killing our diets. Just take your time during the caramelizing stage, and you can't go wrong.

Hubby and I love soup. It is so fulling but not full of unhealthy calories. I have made onion soup in my crock pot and next time i make this soup I am going to try to caramelize the onions in the crockpot.

I saw this recipe and immediately knew I was going to make. I love French Onion Soup and although it is hot here in South Africa, I agree with the author in that you can enjoy this any time of the year. I have made French Onion Soup before but I remember it taking a really long time. This does not seem to be that much of an effort so I'm gonna give it a try.

French Onion Soup is my husband's favourite - he orders it every time we go to a restaurant. I've always wanted to try making it at home, but it always seemed so complicated, until this recipe! I can't believe I can make this in less than an hour! And I always thought you had to use sweet vidalia onions, but this recipe calls for regular yellow onions! I also love the reference to being able to caramelize onions in the crockpot - that would be fantastic! I can't wait to try this one!

I made French Onion Soup years ago but haven't even thought of making it since. This recipe looks like a good re-introduction to making it and since it's been so cold and snowy where we are, we've really been in the mood for soups lately. The process seems simple and clear enough for novice cooks. My favorite part of the recipe is the gooey cheese topping! Thanks for sharing adding this recipe to my must-make-soon list.
