NotesI prefer low sodium canned beans and to add the salt myself to taste because a lot less salt is then needed. Draining and rinsing beans, even with the regular amount of salt can also decrease salt significantly. If you prefer more heat, adding red chili flakes at the table is delicious in this soup.
