Grandma’s Potato Soup Recipe

"My Grandmother had given me my first full-time job at 14 working in the kitchen of a nursing facility for $4.75hr as a Dietary Aid; she had been the Chef. She made delicious meals from her own recipes in that kitchen, one of which is Grandma’s Potato Soup recipe I am sharing today. I have many fond memories of that kitchen and worked there 6 hours a day after school for a whole year before finding another job. My work ethics find their roots there on the tiles of that old kitchen where I quickly learned that if I worked hard and showed up every day no matter what I would go home with a decent check and be able to help pay bills or groceries. Quite a large responsibility for someone at 14, but in our family we always took care of each other."
