Hearty Pea Soup
This hearty pea soup is prepared with Kassler chops, smoked sausages (Mettenden), legumes and other healthy and satisfying ingredients. Pea soup and other savory dishes are popular in Germany and many other parts of the world. This soup can be served as a starter but we usually use it as a main dish as it is filling and accompanied by some buttered slices of freshly baked bread a lovely treat after a long day's work on a cold winter day.
