    Swedish Fruit Soup

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup dried prunes
    • 1 cup dried peaches
    • 1 cup dried pears
    • 1 cup dried apricots
    • 1/2 cup raisins
    • 1 large apple, cut up
    • 2 quarts water
    • 1 cup fruit juice (apple or cranberry)
    • 1 stick cinnamon
    • cardamom, optional
    • 1/2 cup tapioca
    • 2 cups sugar

    Instructions

    Cook slowly until fruit is tender (I use a slow cooker.) This makes kind of a lot, and there is a lot of sugar in it, but it is nice in the winter. I usually make it for a holiday when a lot of people are around.
