Ingredients

  • TURKEY FILLETS:
  • 4 boneless skinless turkey fillets
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1 tablespoon dark rum
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, freshly ground, to taste
  • APPLE RUM SAUCE:
  • 2/3 cup apple juice
  • 2 tb dark rum
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • apple wedges

Instructions

TURKEY FILLETS:

  1. Combine 1/2 cup apple juice, rum, salt and pepper for marinade.
     
  2. In a shallow dish, pour marinade over turkey, cover and marinate 2 hours in a refrigerator.
     
  3. Grill turkey fillets on a barbecue or electric grill or broil them in the oven, until pinkness disappears, about 5 minutes on each side.

APPLE RUM SAUCE:

  1. In a saucepan, combine remaining apple juice, rum and honey and bring to a boil over medium heat.
     
  2. Stir cornstarch into cold water and add to boiling liquid, stirring continuously until well blended.
     
  3. Cook for 1 minute.
     
  4. To serve, drizzle apple rum sauce over each turkey fillet. Garnish with fresh apple wedges.
