French Fried Onion Rings
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 Spanish onions
- 1 eggk beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon salad oil
Instructions
Combine egg, milk and oil and mix well, cover and prepare onions 1/4 inch thick. Dip a few onion rings at a time into the batter so each ring is completely covered. Drop into deep shortening in a electric skillet heated to 375 degrees. Turn the rings as they brown - only once. Drain on sheets of newspapers with paper towel on top. Serve hot.
