Baked Caramel Dipped Pears
These Baked Caramel Dipped Pears look like they came straight from the pages of a cooking magazine! The bright green Anjou pears turn a beautiful golden-brown when they're baked in the oven. After they've cooked, top them in homemade caramel sauce and garnish with your choice of toppings. These baked pears are a perfect Christmas dessert, especially when served with a scoop or two of ice cream. Your family will be so impressed with the delicate presentation and the burst of flavor from this holiday recipe.

This is such a beautiful dessert, and the flavor combination of pears and caramel is absolutely intriguing. I would love to make these for Christmas, garnished with chopped nuts. I am going to do a test run before the holidays though, for some reason I am concerned that the pears become to soft and don't hold up to the dipping process. Has anyone made these that can offer up some tips?

How pretty and elegant are these! We let apples steal the show, especially in the fall, but pears are just as delicious and beautiful! Plus, this is a great way for your guests or family to eat an extra serving of fruit. I recommend these as a centerpiece on your table or even as a party favor for your friends to take home with them. You could dip the pears in sprinkles, chopped nuts, shredded coconut, mini chocolate chips, or any other topping!
