I have to agree with mg57. I have always used butter or evaporated milk to make my caramel sauce. Does this turn out creamy and smooth, or does it have a grainy texture when it cools? I have a thing about textures, so I always like to make sure before I make a new recipe.

This is very interesting recipe! I have never heated up sugar to melt it without adding some kind of butter or liquid to it first. I will have to try this out. I also like that this recipe can be made up quickly, especially if you need it in a hurry. I like that it will stay fresh in your refrigerator for two weeks.
