This is incredibly simple to make up and it's a wonderful addition to a nice hot bowl of tomato (or just about any) soup. I'd add a thin slice of deli ham on top of the cheese before assembling. Swiss cheese would good, too, especially with the ham. The video showing the recipe is really nice and covers the one bit of prep work I hadn't thought about flattening the bread with a rolling pin first.

I love this recipe for all ages, especially for the kids! To make it a little bit healthier, try some whole wheat bread with a white cheese like swiss. Dipped in warm tomato soup, this is such a comforting dinner or snack!

These look scrumdiddlyumptious - I've just recently watched the BFG with my son. Im sure he would call these scrumdiddlyumptious. I think this might be a perfect snack for after school to tide him over until supper time. I think I might like it too. This also is not a lot of trouble for me to prepare. Which is always a good thing!
