We can't use the pecans in our house because of an allergy. Is there something else we can use to put into this dessert to start it? I like Oreo cookie bases and graham crackers will work, but they are so boring sometimes. I like using vanilla wafers too. I bet they would work okay.

Thank you for this great recipe! The best news is it really is as good s it sounds, lol! Quick and easy to make, which is a of ways a winner for me, it is a really delicious dessert. One of our children doesnt like Cool Whip, go figure, so I generally use fresh cream and I didnt have any chocolate sprinkles so used chopped pecans but everything else was exactly as per recipe.
