Aku Poki
Aku Poki is a Hawaiian take on sushi. Though this dish requires some prep time, no cooking is necessary; assemble everything the night before and throw a no-fuss Hawaiian dinner party.
Notes
Swordfish or octopus can be used instead, but with octopus, omit soy sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. raw tuna
- 1/2 soy sauce
- 1 finger ginger, grated
- 1/2 small onion
- 2 stalks scallions
- 1 dried chili (optional)
- 1/2 tsp. sesame oil
Instructions
1.Cut up fish into small pieces. Cut scallions into small pieces. Chop onion finely.
2. Mix all ingredients in a bowl and marinate for half a day (or minimum 4 - 5 hours). Serve raw.
