Did you have this meal a lot when you were a kid? I sure did. My mom used to mix it up and crumble the ground beef. She would make a gravy and slice potatoes and simmer them in the gravy with the hamburger and the potatoes. She also sauteed onions with the hamburger to give the meal more flavor. We loved it that way.
