Texas Chuckwagon Dinner
The best thing about this beef skillet is it has a layer of cornbread on top, so when it's done you have almost a complete meal. Texas Chuckwagon Dinner is a classic southern skillet recipe that only requires 5 simple ingredients. Ground beef is mixed with spaghetti sauce to make the base of this hearty dinner. Then, a thick layer of cornbread is poured over top for a light and fluffy crust. Serve with your favorite salad or vegetable and dinner is ready!

You only need five ingredients to make this chuckwagon? Wow, I am going to like this one for sure then. I was hoping to find some chopped onion in this dish. I know there are spices in the spaghetti sauce, but I need more in my hamburger to layer the flavor and make sure it is seasoned all the way through.

Yeeeee-HAW. I'm officially an Italian Cowboy. I love this Texas Chuckwagon Dinner recipe. Of course I could not resist sauteing some carrots, onions and celery along with the ground beef, and absolutely added the cheese. The cornbread on top is perfect. This recipe is fun and tasty, sought of like a Cowboy version of Shephaerd's Pie.
