Deluxe Breakfast Pizza

A crescent roll crust stands out in this breakfast pizza! Hash browns, onions and mushrooms combined with fluffy scrambled eggs makes this dish a hit at our house.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces package crescent rolls
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 pound pork sausage
  • 1/2 cup hash browns, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 small can of mushroom pieces
  • 1 package grated cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
     
  2. Brown pork sausage.
     
  3. Use a 9 1/2x13-inch cake pan; grease the cake pan and pat the crescent rolls out across the bottom.
     
  4. Scramble eggs with milk.
     
  5. Add pork sausage, hash browns, onion and mushrooms; pour into the cake pan.
     
  6. Cover the top with grated cheese.
     
  7. Bake about 30 minutes.

What do they mean, 1/2 cup hash browns sliced? Weird. I get the idea though and I will probably try this. Sounds pretty good.

Hi Susan C - You should cook the pork sausage according to step 2. Then you scramble the eggs with milk. Then you add the browned sausage along with the other ingredients (raw) and bake for 30 minutes. Hope that helps clarify things! -The editors of RecipeLion

when it says scramble eggs with milk, does that mean to mix them together and add other ingredients "raw" and pour over the crust or does it mean to cook them and then add the other ingredients and cook them, too and then pour over the crust?
