Alabama Lane Cake
Alabama Lane Cake can be described as a blonde German chocolate cake, and this recipe is about as authentic as they come. Passed down and tweaked for generations, it has three layers of homemade yellow cake each topped with a raisin, pecan, coconut mixture. This lovely-layered cake has all the Southern charm you'd expect from a recipe out of Alabama, so it's not only impressive to look at, but has impressive flavor too! If you want a gorgeous dessert that has an old-fashioned, country feel, then this is the cake for you.

This looks quite yummy. I love German Chocolate Cake and this blonde version looks absolutely delectable. I'd be interested in trying the filling in an actual chocolate cake. I love fillings that have a bit of liquor in them, and this filling that uses bourbon sounds great. This would be a wonderful special occasion cake, and I'll keep it in mind as we move into graduation season.
