Italian Flag Cake

This Italian Flag Cake is incredibly festive and very easy to make. Simply use a box of white cake mix and some food coloring to produce this colorful dessert. The recipe adds almond flavoring to the batter as well as sprinkling some toasted almonds over the top of the cake. Feel free to add your own preferred flavoring to the dessert. By mixing up the food coloring, this cake could also turn into a great Independence Day dessert. Make sure you save this recipe - you'll be using it a lot!

This is just a fun, simple little recipe. It has the ease and convenience of using cake mix and whipped topping, and the slivered almonds are a perfect touch. The addition of the red and green food coloring to make it an Italian Flag Cake gives it a touch of whimsy.
