I love peaces! I have never seen it used it a cake. I always have a lot of peaches. I am not so sure about using coconut pecan frosting though. Seems like it might be overpowering to the peaches. Maybe a brown sugar frosting would compliment it. Plus the fam doesn't like coconuts or nuts in things.
