Magic Cake Layer Bars
This easy cake recipe isn't called "magic" for nothing. Magic Cake Layer Bars are dessert bars that taste similar to custard cake. The magic is that two distinct layers are formed from one cake batter. The bottom layer is a custard consistency, and the top is a fluffy cake consistency. Simply mix the batter, pour it into a pan, and the oven will do all the work for you! This cake is great to serve in place of a coffee cake at brunch

This recipe looks really good, although it wasn't what I was expecting from the title. I always thought magic bars had coconut and chocolate. I do love vanilla though, so this looks really tasty! I've never heard of vanilla paste before, but the recipe does state that you can use regular vanilla extract. I wonder how rich this recipe would be, although I bet it tastes great with a nice hot cup of coffee or tea! I'll definitely give this one a try!

I think if this site is going to provide a click thru to another site, then what's posted there should be a complete & understandable recipe. Not like this one which has typos that make it difficult to follow, and ingredients that aren't clear.
