Honey Crack Bites
Perfect for a potluck or to give as a gift, homemade candy recipes are sometimes all a person wants. This easy dessert recipe is made with cornflakes, honey, butter and sugar; four ingredients you'll most likely have in your very own pantry. Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons caster sugar
- 3 cups Kellogg's corn flakes
Instructions

Preheat oven to 320 degrees F.

Melt the butter, dissolve the honey and sugar in the butter, then pour over the cornflakes.
- Place in patty cases/cup cake cases. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Wait until they are cool, then enjoy!

To me it should read, Place corn flakes in a bowl and pour melted ingredients over them, stir to coat and THEN spoon into cup cake papers and bake. That's my take on it.

The recipe sounds good on its own, but it is just what I was looking for to coat some truffles with. I definitely going to try it.

Please tell me what is caster sugar and what are patty/cake cases?

it is a very finely granulated sugar that was formerly sprinkled from a castor. You can use a food processor and granulated sugar to make it. Just pulse it so that it's very fine, BUT NOT POWDERY. :)

They sound great. The recipe mentions pouring the liquid over the cornflakes, then placing them in cup cake cases. Are the cornflakes not already in the cup cake cases before pouring the liquid over them? And how many does this recipe make? Thank you.
