Crazy Beef 'n' Beans
Easy beef recipes are perfect for the budget conscious. This hearty recipe is jammed packed with beef and beans and a splash of Tobasco sauce for that crazy, zesty spice you adore. Eat it over rice or by itself, it's good either way.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 onions, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 1 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 can (7-ounces) tomato paste
- 2 cans pureed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 2 teaspoons sweet paprika
- 2 tablespoons powdered/ground cumin powder
- Tabasco sauce, to taste
- 2 cans red kidney beans, drained
Instructions
- Place a pot on high heat and warm 2 tablespoons of oil. Toss in onions, red bell pepper and garlic, and stir for about 3 minutes or until softened. Remove vegetables to a separate bowl.
- Return pot to heat and brown ground beef . When meat is brown and sizzling, tip in cooked onion, capsicum and garlic mix, tomato paste, pureed tomatoes, cracked pepper, sweet paprika, cumin powder and Tabasco to taste.
- Stir gently until combined, and add enough water to just cover ingredients.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour. Check after 55 minutes, and add red kidney beans. Cook for an additional ten minutes. Serve over white rice or enjoy by itself.
