This recipe looks and sounds yummy. Chicken and creamy mushrooms were made to go together. They compliment each other so well. I like that this is not a spicy recipe. It looks gently on the stomach and a great one dish meal for little ones. Looks so easy to make at the last minute. Just use pasta shapes you already have on hand.

Love this recipe! Creamy, cheesy chicken with pasta sounds wonderful. I make a chicken tetrazzini that is similar to this, that my family loves. We will definitely have this soon. We always have chicken on hand and my son can't get enough pasta! I think I'll use penne.

I absolutely love my creamy pasta dishes but i am thinking of becoming a vegetarian, just need to take the final leap. I am trying to get dishes together before i fully commit to it, ideally ones that my partner will eat too or I can add meat to later on in separate dish, would this dish be as nice if the chicken was substituted for Quorn?

This reminds me of Chicken Tetrazini with mozzarella added so it is cheesier. Fresh mushrooms are so much better than canned so don't try cheating and using canned instead. These days you can buy whole or already sliced mushrooms. It is a really nice and comforting meal. Keep in mind that if the chicken isn't cooked it is going to take longer than 25 minutes to prep it.

This casserole is so creamy, cheesy, and delicious that you can't help but go back for seconds! It is very wholesome and filling, but won't break your budget. Just be sure not to skip the step of cooking the mushrooms first, because otherwise they will make the sauce too watery. I used shell pasta when I made it and it turned out great!

My Mother used to make a dish she called "chicken in the pot" that consisted of chicken, mushrooms, cream of mushroom soup and onions that she cooked on the stove top and served over noodles. This kind of reminds me of that in a casserole form. It looks good and I can't wait to try it as written the first time, and then maybe experiment by adding some cream of mushroom soup and onions to it.
