I'm not a fan of takeout food. Firstly because.....well the cost....and secondly because it never tastes that good! I am glad I found this Teriyaki chicken. We also have those Friday nights in my house. The best I must admit and I am always looking for meals like this to make on 'Family Fun night' as we call it. I'm definitely putting this one on the agenda it looks super delicious.

I've come across a few commercial teriyaki sauces that I like, but I really want to try this recipe for a good homemade one. I like the fact that the sweetness can easily be adjusted. I've had some sauces that were just way too sweet for my tastes. I love the use of carrots and broccoli on this and I would definitely serve this with some rice. Someone had mentioned they had tried this with pork chops and it also turned out well. I'm glad this has gotten universal raves from all who have made it so far.

This Baked Teriyaki Chicken Broccoli is even better than it looks in the photo, if you can believe that! I ate about 3 times what I should have simply because of the absolute 100% deliciousness and it seems the rest of the family did the same because there was not even one drop left in the serving dish. Oh and it has already been saved to our Must Have Again SOON file. Lol!

You just can't beat this Baked Teriyaki Chicken and Broccoli recipe. I love that you make your own teriyaki sauce for this recipe, and that it uses fresh broccoli and carrots. The recipe is well written and easy to follow. Your family would love to have this recipe for dinner sometime soon, and they will want it again and again.

Winner winner chicken dinner! I have recently discovered how important acids are in cooking, limes, lemons, vinegars, and this recipe is very good without it, but I added the juice of half a lime to zippy it up! I also had to substitute apricot preserves for honey, since babies aren't supposed to eat honey and we've got a ten month old who's an adventurous eater and loves bold flavors! (No chicken nuggets for this kid! lol) And I used low sodium soy sauce. Works just as well with no flavor loss.
