Ginger Fried Chicken
This fried chicken recipe is a combination of fried and baked, and is infused with Asian flavors such as soy sauce and ginger. East meets the deep south in this tasty rendition of a fried chicken recipe.

Ingredients
- 2 pounds whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 1/4 pound fresh ginger root, grated
- 2 ounces chopped garlic
- 4 ounces Japanese soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 8 ounces flour
- 4 medium eggs
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ginger, garlic, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Add chicken and toss well to coat; marinate overnight.
- Preheat oven tp 350F degrees.
- Beat the eggs in a small bowl, then pour over chicken and toss well.
- Add flour and coat chicken.
- Fry until golden, about 5 minutes.
- Finish in oven, 350F degrees, for 30-35 minutes.
