Ingredients
- 6 chicken thighs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup water

Lay the chicken thighs out on a cutting board and season with salt, pepper, cayenne, and garlic powder.

Turn the Instant Pot on Sauté. When the display reads "hot" add 1 tablespoon of the oil. Brown the chicken thighs on both sides in batches adding additional oil as needed.

Once all the chicken is browned, return it to the pot and add the water.

Close the lid of your Instant Pot. Set cooking time for 10 minutes.

When the Instant Pot is finished cooking, let sit for a 10-minute natural pressure release, then release the rest of the pressure with a quick release.

Remove the chicken from the pot and serve.
