Yorkshire Chicken
This tasty Yorkshire Chicken is an easy chicken recipe you will not soon forget. Part fried, part baked, this dish is a cross between healthy and delicious!
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Pepper, to taste
- 4 whole chicken legs and thighs
- 2 teaspoons salad oil
- 2 teaspoons margarine
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon sage
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Mix 1/4 cup flour with 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper.
- Dredge chicken in flour mixture. Heat oil and margarine in frying pan over medium heat, add chicken and brown.
- Transfer chicken and drippings to 9 X 13 baking dish. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
- Stir remaining 1 cup flour, 1 teaspoon salt, baking powder, and sage. Then in blender, beat eggs. Blend in milk.
- Add dry ingredients to egg mixture and beat until smooth. Pour over chicken.
- Bake uncovered for 1 hour or until puffy and brown.
