Ingredients

  • 2 cups half ’n half
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon peppermint flavoring
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 12 candy canes

Instructions

  1. Place ice cream maker insert in freezer for 24 hours prior to making.

  2. In a medium mixing bowl combine all ingredients, less candy canes, and mix well; chill for 1 hour.

  3. Put frozen ice cream make insert in maker and turn on; add chilled mixture and churn according to manufacturer’s instructions.

  4. Unwrap candy canes and place in large zip lock bag; crush with metal mallet. Add to ice cream maker 10 minutes before maximum churn time.

  5. Empty ice cream into air tight container and freeze for 2-3 hours before serving. Enjoy!!!
